FAQs
What are your fees?
My fees are based on my experience and education, combined with my specialty in working with neurodivergent individuals. Each 45-minute session is $150. I also offer 90-minute EMDR therapy sessions for $270/session. Although I do not accept insurance, I can provide a Superbill for you to submit for out of network benefits. Many insurance companies will partially reimburse the session cost; you will need to check with your health insurance company to confirm your out-of-network benefits.
Do you accept self-diagnosis of ADHD and/or Autism?
Yes! I am a self-diagnosed Autistic individual. I believe that self-diagnosis of neurodivergence is valid and essential to overcome the barriers that exist in obtaining a formal diagnosis. There are a number of barriers to individuals who are seeking a formal diagnosis in adulthood including cost, access to assessment, and the limited number of assessors who are trained in diagnosing adults. I believe that you are the expert in your own experiences, and are capable of self-diagnosis.
How do I reach out to you to schedule an appointment?
Through the email address listed on this site, you can reach out in order to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. This call will give you a chance to ask me questions and get to know my approach to therapy. Following that call, you can decide if you would like to move forward with scheduling an intake appointment.
Are you a member of the LGBTQIA+ Community?
Yes! Not only do I identify as an individual in the LGBTQIA+ Community, I also have experience working with clients of varied backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations.
What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach that uses bilateral stimulation to aid in reprocessing traumatic events and challenging early experiences. It is thought that EMDR works by creating a way for your brain to process the past while remaining safely in the present. Although EMDR is a trauma based therapy, you do not require a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) diagnosis to benefit. If you would like to learn more about EMDR to determine if it would be the correct therapeutic approach for you, please schedule a free 15 minute phone call.
